Phonics Letters and Sounds
Synthetic phonics using the Letters and Sounds framework is the most widely used approach to phonics teaching, with schools now required to show that they are teaching synthetic phonics from the beginning of reception.
All of the schemes highlighted below are fully decodable and have been designed for use when teaching the Letters and Sounds framework. You can find more information here in, our guide to Phonics Letters and Sounds (PDF).
Our curriculum specialists have also put together a free Letters and Sounds phases chart highlighting how many fiction and non-fiction titles are available within each scheme, and at each phase.
