Reading Stars for Unlocking Letters and Sounds

Reading Stars for Unlocking Letters and Sounds from Ransom is an SSP linked to the Letters and Sounds framework, recently submitted for validation by the DfE. It has been created by Ransom in partnership with the Unlocking Excellence and Mangotsfield English Hubs.

Designed to reduce teacher workload, Unlocking Letters and Sounds includes:

• Over 150 decodable reading books loved by teachers across the UK, Reading Stars Phonics Readers
• Handbooks for every phase
• Digital whiteboard resources
• Flashcards, flashbooks, sound mats, wall friezes and an alphabet song
• Tools to identify the lowest 20% and implement interventions

Decodable books for Phases 2 and 3 will be published in January 2022, books for Phase 4 in Spring 2022 and Phase 5 Summer 2022.
